Trainings Held Within the Framework of the Project “Civil Monitoring for the Improvement of Municipal Services in Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri”
On June 4-5 in Lanchkhuti and June 6-7 in Chokhatauri, training sessions were conducted for mobile groups selected as part of the project “Civil Monitoring for the Improvement of Municipal Services in Lanchkhuti and Chokhatauri”, implemented by the Georgian Rural Hall.
The aim of the trainings was to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in the following areas:
The concept and importance of civil monitoring;
Methods of obtaining information for monitoring purposes;
Types of monitoring (legal and economic activity monitoring);
Preparation and writing of monitoring reports;
Proper communication and coverage of monitoring results in the media.
The training program was based on the publications “Civil Monitoring with Citizen Participation” and the “Local Self-Government Monitoring Manual”, issued by the Eurasia Partnership Foundation.
The sessions were led by the project manager, Amiran Gigineishvili.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
