2,3 and 4 of June, in the Hotel "Villa Georgica" of Patardzeuli was held Board workshop of GRC. In the workshop were participated Board members of GRC, Executive Director Mr. Amiran Gigineishvili and President of International Association "Civitas Georgica" Mr. George Meskhidze. On the meeting was presented report of GRC Executive Director and was elaborated organizational strategy for 2016-2020.
In the second part of workshop was presented aims and goals of project "Inclusion of rural communities in the decision making process". In the framework of project is planned survey of needs of 16 rural settlements, rasing the skills and knowledge of young people from these settlements and financial support of interesting initiatives for these settlements.
The project is implementing by polish organization "Edukator", "Civitas Georgica" and GRC. Project is financed by "Polish Solidarity Found" and "Polish Suport".

In the framework of the project "Cooperation for the sustainable development of Guria coastal zone" in May 2016 the working groups of coastal settlements strategic plans in Grigoleti, tskaltsminda, Ureki and Natanebi (Shekvetili) have provided the needs questionnaire of local community and tourists . There were surveyed 440 respondents.

Georgian Rural Council in cooperation of the Poland Association "Edukator" starts the new project named "Support of inclusion of the rural communities in the local decision making process". Project has two goals. First one is to develope organizational opportunities of GRC and second one is to support rural territories development in Georgia by implementation local micro projects. Duration of the project is 7 months. It is financed by Solidariti Found of Poland.
February 5 held the meeting in Supsa (Grigoleti) village with local population. Meeting held in the framework of the project "Cooperation for sustainable development of Guria coastal zone". Project Director Amiran Gigineishvili talked about the project goals and objectives, expected results. He Answered the questions of the participants. Working Group members were selected.
The meeting was attended by member of Lanchkhuti Municipal Council from Supsa Mr. Jumber Blagidze.

January 21 Ureki in the framework of the project "Cooperation for the sustainable development of Guria coastal zone" was held the public meeting with the local community representatives. Project Director Amiran Gigineishvili presented the project goals and objectives, expected outcomes, Answered the questions. There was signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between project management and council member, Mr. Imnaishvili. Working Group members were selected.
The meeting was attended by Mr. David Darchia the Chairman of the Municipal Council and Mr. Merab Chanukvadze the Governor of Municipality.
