Settlements Meeting In Grigoleti and Etseri
March 17 of 2017 in Grigoleti and Etseri villages of Lanchkhuti Municipality held settlements meetings. Meetings were organied by iniciative groups and held in framework of "Code of Local Self Government". On the meetings were discussed two issues:Ellection of Heads of meetings and local problem identification and prioritization. As head of Grigoleti meeting was ellected Akaki Kvachadze and in Etseri Zviad Nakaidze. As main problems of Grigoleti were identifed lack of drainage channels, lack of road regulation and no addressing.
Events was held in framework of GRC project "Strengthening of rural communities in the decision-making process" and is financed by Europe Found and SiDA.
International conference in Didube Plaza
November 25 in Tbilisi, Didube Plaza Hotel was held the final conference of the project "Rural community involvement in local decision-making process". The conference was attended by the GRC Council members from Kvareli, Khashuri, Lanchkhuti, Chokhatauri, Gardabani, the representatives of the micro projects from Kareli, Borjomi, Khobi, Zugdidi, Samtredia, Vani and Kobuleti. In the conference participated school directors from Poland.
The conference was conducted by President of International Association "Civitas" Mr. George meskhidzesa and Executive Director of GRC, Mr. Amiran Gigineishvili. The conference focused to the activities and future strategy of GRC. Representatives of the micro projects talked about their activities. Polish guests shared good practice of community mobilization in poland. Project Director, Ms. Marzena Rafelska summarized the results of the project "the decision-making process of empowerment of rural communities".
The project is financed by "Polish Solidarity Fund" and the "Polish Aid".
Photo exhibition in Borjomi
Borjomi Central Library is hosting the photo exhibition. In the framework of micro project "My village" were exhibited photos from Kvibisi village of Borjomi Municipality. The exhibition will last 10 days.
The micro project is run in the framework of project "Rural community involvement in local decision-making process". The project is implemented by the Polish organization "Edukator", International Association "Civitas Georgica" and GRC. The project is financed by "Polish Solidarity Fund" and "Polish aid".
Meeting with representatives of micro projects
17 of September Manager Marzena Rafelska and Coordinator Amiran Gigineishvili of the project "Rural community involvement in local decision-making process" met with representatives of local communities, members of the executive groups of the micro projects. Local representatives talks about goals and activities of micro projects. They mentions that it is very important to include wide representation of local community.

Camp of the Young leaders in Patardzeuli
In the framework of the project "rural community involvement in local decision-making process" in the training center "Villa Georgica" is started the camp of young leaders. Training participants are from villages of Kobuleti, Vani, Samtredia, Khobi, Zugdidi, Gori, Borjomi and Sagarejo Municipalities. They raise the level of knowledge and skills in areas such as leadership, communication, presentation, project management and design. After finishing of camp planned implementation of small projects in home villages of camp participants.

GRC board workshop
2,3 and 4 of June, in the Hotel "Villa Georgica" of Patardzeuli was held Board workshop of GRC. In the workshop were participated Board members of GRC, Executive Director Mr. Amiran Gigineishvili and President of International Association "Civitas Georgica" Mr. George Meskhidze. On the meeting was presented report of GRC Executive Director and was elaborated organizational strategy for 2016-2020.
In the second part of workshop was presented aims and goals of project "Inclusion of rural communities in the decision making process". In the framework of project is planned survey of needs of 16 rural settlements, rasing the skills and knowledge of young people from these settlements and financial support of interesting initiatives for these settlements.
The project is implementing by polish organization "Edukator", "Civitas Georgica" and GRC. Project is financed by "Polish Solidarity Found" and "Polish Suport".
